TO LOVE♥ GOD IS TO LOVE♥ THYSELF
For me, it’s been a life full of Love. I love family. I love kids. I love trees. I love rain.
But yet, something was incomplete. Yet, I was searching for something to complete me. In last few years, I understood Love. I understood myself again. I understood what I was missing.
Here’s my take on how to Love God:
Love, in these times, is a misunderstood feeling. We love our family, our friends and yet we suffer. Yet, we don’t feel Love. It’s because Love is not meant to be selfish. Anything selfish is not Love. So, when I love car, a bungalow or a women/man (with lust), that is not Love per se. That is because we are trying to acquire those things. Feelings from the other party are either not there or their feelings don’t matter.
We should never try to Love God like that. Love is the purest feeling in the world. It should be two-sided. It should be emerging out of respect and admiration for other being. Love for God should be like that. Full of admiration and respect. A Love which is not asking for anything in return every time. (Not like what we do in temple. God, give me something because I got sweets for you. And I will forget you after going out of temple). If you forget it in an hour, it was never love. So, why will it be reciprocated.
Love him like you love yourself. As much as you love yourself. And God will be ready to do anything for you. Ready to jump any hoops for you.
Achieve that purity of being able to love. God has given us all the relationships to be able to enjoy Love and its purity. And then direct that pure love towards God. So, Love all relationships. But don’t stop there itself. Direct the same love towards God as well.
And your life will be full of joy and happiness. Because God will reciprocate back that Love with all his might.
